When I was using VirtueMart, I collected a LOT of extensions to extend its functionality and efficiency. One of the modules I came across and came to really enjoy was the ccVMDashboard from Chill Creations, which gave you a brief overview of all recent orders and their statuses right from Joomla's main control panel, as well as quick links to the Orders, Products, Users and Configuration sections. I'd adapted and modified this dashboard to work with redSHOP, so all you redSHOP admins can enjoy the same features that the original has to offer. You'll find a copy of the module attached to this post.



It's very simple to use: just install the module through the Extension Manager as always, visit the Module Manager, click on the Administrator list of modules, and set the redSHOP Dashboard to the "cpanel" position.

Sean, I have a little issue with your dashboard. I don't think its your dashboard really, maybe a bug with redshop. I have an order showing up on the dashboard but not listed in orders. Its not a real order, just some of my site testing. I can click on the order number from the dashboard and it goes to order details, however on the dashboard there is no Name to click on. So what that means is that in the order (details) there is no Billing Name, address etc. Its an order not assigned to anyone. If it can't be listed in orders, it can't be deleted. Is there another way to deleted orders, some master reset?

One other related issue, (I should probably do another post) when there is no ship to information for the order details (shipping is the same as billing when customer entered order) in the Ship to, Country it always lists a default - Afghanistan and in the State it always lists a default - Alabama. Nothing else in the ship to records, just Country and State. This has been going on for sometime now, ever since I looked at my first order detail. Maybe back to 1.0.19 or 20. I should have done a search first for other post on about this like I usually try to do, but I didn't.

Its not written by redCOMPONENT as such but the alternated version for redSHOP was made by Sean - and its not made for J1.7

Contact David from Chill Creations for an updated version directly for redSHOP and J1.7

Grrr would be nice if this would be available for Joomla 1.7 also!

I just did a fresh installation on J1.7.1 and my dashboard looks like that too. It is frustrating and difficult to get answers.

Is this the norm for responses here? Perhaps the support is elevated for paying clients only which I understand but I am just trying to present RS to my client before they spend more money on something that has terrible support

@ gjrweb. The dashboard module is not Redshop, so is not supportet here on this forum.

@ Jeff MacDougall. Your problem looks like it is the Redshop it self that had faliled something in the installation and nothing with the module dashboard. So try to post in Redshop bugs. That will probertly help on respons time + it is over the weekend.
