Hi Ronni, I have upgraded and installed on the old version and now I am getting:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/penpalsp/public_html/components/com_redshop/helpers/cron.php on line 155

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/penpalsp/public_html/components/com_redshop/helpers/cron.php on line 67

I cannot change products or change the image sizes or anything. It's gotten me quite stuck. Help?!?

Hi Ronni,

I could not install this new release at all...

After loading up the installation file into /tmp directory, Joomla turns into a blanc screen and that's it. Not even altering my .htaccess file made any difference.

Any suggestions?

But thanx for the new release anyway

Hi Nik, that doesn't change the issue with my store, which is that I cannot edit or change any products now (gives me an error that the item number already exists, even if I input a new product) and I get the invalid argument in the cron.php file on every page and even the search module.

I answered in the other thread, I figure we should just stay there instead of double teaming the board.

exactly my point

lets use the dedicated thread

Re:redSHOP 1.0.29.1 Released - Weekend update :) 1 year, 5 months ago #16300

Hi Nik,

it was not possible for me, neither on my test site nor an my productive site, to install the new version. And yes, I took a look into the thread with these helpful hints. I tried them an got the same result. An empty page, when I wanted to install version.1.0.29.1.

Even after a complete remove of RedShop I experienced the same behavior.

I reinstalled 1.0.27 and it worked fine.

It's a petty, because I would love to install the new version and benefit from those improvements in it...

Re:redSHOP 1.0.29.1 Released - Weekend update :) 1 year, 5 months ago #16303

I solved it. Just turned the tar.gz archive into a zip file and it worked.

Cheers!

I'm not sure why it's not installing properly for you guys Maggie and Oliver, I've installed v1.0.29.1 both as clean install and update over previous, and I've not had any issues. It's clearly to do with the environment, either server or PHP settings / versions, file / folder permissions, it could even be some random variable which doesn't look related but is somehow. I'm not trying to discourage you or say that it won't work for you, but perhaps it's not a problem with v1.0.29.1 per se.

I'd also recommend you carry on your discussion about resolving this in the thread that Maggie made in the "Bugs" section.

I could not install this either as it kept telling me there was no valid installation file - (xml)

In the end I had to upload the file to the /tmp directory, then extract it. Then I was able to install from directory.

I had thought about repackaging it as a zip file.

Thanks

Hey Oliver,

I got to your post late, I was going to suggest that your server has a problem with tar.gz files, but it seems you discovered the workaround and successfully installed it. Glad to hear it.

I was having time out issue and blank page. But after extracting the compressed file on my HDD and upload via ftp to my tmp folder like:

/xxxx/tmp/redshop/com_redshop_1.0.xx works like a charm and faster as well.
