Since redSHOP v1.0.24 was released yesterday, several customers have complained about their payment and shipping method plugins no longer working as they should or not working at all, and one user has complained about the update wiping out their product/category images as well as their custom templates.
This is clearly not what an update is meant to do, certainly since this has never happened before, and I apologize to all of those affected for this on behalf of the team who aren't here to respond to this problem yet. There must have been an issue that the developers missed when they were packing v1.0.24 for release, but I have notified the team of this and this will be dealt with as soon as possible.
Fortunately there is a temporary fix for the "payment methods not appearing" problem (
redcomponent.com/forum/62-bugs/11919-ans...yment-method-section), and one of our members, Michele West, reports that you can restore the payment and shipping method plugin's functionality to normal by re-installing and re-configuring them (
redcomponent.com/forum/62-bugs/11991-ple...-broke-my-shop#12000).
Unfortunately there is no fix yet for the product/category images being removed from their respective detail pages and any custom templates being replaced by the default ones.
In any event,
please make sure you have a backup copy of your current site prior to updating to v1.0.24! This should be common practice whenever updating any Joomla extension, but especially in this case.
I hope this problem will be resolved in a repacked version of v1.0.24 in the next few days, but for the meantime, please keep this notice in mind.
