TOPIC: No valid registration has been found

No valid registration has been found 3 years 11 months ago #3369

Finally worked through getting a form attached to an event. Upon submission I get "No valid registration has been found". However the registration is found in the redform.

How can I get this to a confirmation message?

I know this must be something simple, just brain dead. Please advise.

T.

Make sure you use the fullname and email field values and that the webform signup type is set to active. Also make sure the event is set up for registrations.

If someone is registered as Jo Bloggs, they might use Joseph Bloggs if they see fullname.

Can we use the username field instead?

What field MUST be used to verify the form, and what settings must they have before we can start to think about adding our own fields and values?

Also, am I correct in thinking the following:
Field Settings:
Favourite Fruit

Value settings would be:
Value: Favourite Fruit
Field: [FORM NAME]::Favourite Fruit
Field Type: TextField
Published : Yes

you are assuming correctly. AS for the fullname/username, I'll let Ronni answer when he gets over his flu...

Do the fields have to be in any certain order? Do they have to be labelled a particular way? Are they case sensitive?

For the form to be submitted, we HAVE to have:
  1. A name field called .......?
  2. An email field called .......?

The name field is to have values:
  • Value: any old value (Not necessarily the same as its name on the form)
  • Field: [FORM NAME]::[Name Field Name]
  • Field Type: Full name
  • Published : Yes

The email field is to have values:
  • Value: any old value2(Not necessarily the same as its name on the form)
  • Field: [FORM NAME]::[/i][/li] [li]Field Type: E-mail[/li] [li]Published : Yes [/li][/ul] The event should have (well I have it set like this): [ul][li]Submission Types - None checked[/li] [li]EMails - None checked[/li] [li]Form - correct form selected and all values set to yes (for now)[/li] [li]Submission - No & No[/li] [li]Waiting list - No & No[/li] [li]Registration - Yes / No / Yes / Yes[/li][/ul] With the above settings, I am getting "No valid registration has been found" I am using CB1.2.1 with a two field name setting. Not sure if this has any relevance?[Email Field Name]
  • Field Type: E-mail
  • Published : Yes

The event should have (well I have it set like this):
  • Submission Types - None checked
  • EMails - None checked
  • Form - correct form selected and all values set to yes (for now)
  • Submission - No & No
  • Waiting list - No & No
  • Registration - Yes / No / Yes / Yes

With the above settings, I am getting "No valid registration has been found"

I am using CB1.2.1 with a two field name setting. Not sure if this has any relevance?

"Make sure you use the fullname and email field values and that the webform signup type is set to active. Also make sure the event is set up for registrations."

I changed this setting on my forms and it still shows "No valid registration has been found".

The registrations are going through tho.

I'm still getting "No valid registration has been found".

Like Tim, the registrations are going through and storing in the DB. HOWEVER, when I view the list via the front end, there are more entrants than in the backend.
The backend shows 1 submitter, whilst the front end shows 5 entries of the same form.

If I submit another form with different details, then view the backend, I see the two form submissions. If I view the attendees via the front end, I get 6 copies of each form in this format:
- Form 1 results
- Form 2 results
- Form 1 results
- Form 2 results
- Form 1 results
- Form 2 results
- Form 1 results
- Form 2 results
- Form 1 results
- Form 2 results
- Form 1 results
- Form 2 results

I entered the same tag on another event to show the tag template that I set up in the text library.
I then filled out the form on this new event and I received the same error message, the details were stored, but in the front end I could see 7 entries of my form details, whilst in the backend, those details were only listed once.

In the backend, can we please have another column or two to display which event the submitter details have come from.

However, if there is no field of type 'email', there won't be a confirmation email send to this submitter. Maybe fullname is required too for that matter, but i am not sure, i have to check.[Email Field Name]

I have just tried the above. On the frontend I clicked the computer moniter screen indicating webform submission and the form appeared. I filled in the details and still received the "No valid registration has been found."

BUT.....

the back end correctly shows the one entry of the submitters details.

the front end also shows the one entry of the submitters details.

So one error fixed, just would like the main problem solving.

I have set a confirmation page, but still no joy.

Web form checked and tag [redform] added, registrations going through still getting the above "subject" message upon submit.

yeaaaaahh !!

i found it: submit_key in xxx_redevent_register has to be varchar(50). Due to an error in upgrade script, in some installations it could be INT.

please check and get back to me !
